Think for just a moment about all the transitions you have made in life.
We've gone from childhood to puberty to becoming adults. We were little girls with big dreams and went from marriage to divorce or widowhood, or not. We are daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, teachers, friends, partners, lovers, chefs, life organizers and housekeeping directors. The list is endless, and we manage our family and the care of elderly parents. The list of all the roles and hats a woman wears to navigate life is infinite.
A plethora of transitions impacts our life in one way or another. I tell you, or you can say to me, all these transitions are exhausting. Society places extraordinary demands on women. The last time anyone checked, only super friends and heroes with super powers could leap, jump and be unbelievably wicked cool. Being in the present moment doesn't have to be complicated. It is the key to staying healthy and happy. It helps you fight anxiety, cut down on your worrying, and keeps you grounded and connected to yourself and your surroundings.
A woman who is already in a gratitude mindset and wishes to be happier in life is ready to embark on the most wonderful experience of their life.
When do we get to create our path?
It might seem complicated to figure out this delicate balance, but it’s not as complex as it seems.
When we engage in mindfulness or present moment meditation, we are not ignoring or disregarding thoughts or events of the past or future. We simply choose not to dwell on them. It’s okay to acknowledge and label our past- and future-focused thoughts, categorize them, and be aware of their importance.
The important point is to not allow yourself to get swept up in thinking about the past or future.
Simple living with purpose is the order of the day. Let us know what changes you are making.
